Is this zen?
H

@danielroe Whats the chance of running something like Nuxt Native for mobile apps, vs Vue Native
H
humanpls
and React Native
A
aussieboi
@humanpls hopefully there will be progress with Lynx
R
RaguraX
@humanpls You can already do this with Capacitor I believe. It won't be straightforward, but it's possible.
H
humanpls
@aussieboi I havent done any research yet
X
xMorthi
just wrap entire nuxt app in ionic wrapper and you are ready to go
H
humanpls
@RaguraX couldnt we just run nuxt on top of vue native
H
humanpls
@RestreamBot Ohhhh lemme look at that
H
humanpls
theres a nuxt module for ionic, noice
H
humanpls
cat wants back up
R
RaguraX
@humanpls I don't know about Vue Native, but it seems unnecessary when you can just use capacitor directly. Remember though, you won't have any SSR as it's a local app. So if you can find documentation on how to run Vue instead of Nuxt with Capacitor, it should be largely the same.
H
humanpls
@RaguraX Yeah was thinking the same, I'm looking at the Nuxt/ionic module which also speaks abbout capacitor for ios/android
S
shreyassanthu
Hello hello hello
H
humanpls
but using nuxt, i can inject my own modules
S
shreyassanthu
how are you
R
RaguraX
Ionic is fine, but it's _mostly_ a UI library rather than a framework for mobile apps.
H
humanpls
@RaguraX Ohhh..
H
humanpls
Yeah I need the whole backend rather then a UI
L
Luke Nelson
Hey everyone :)
R
RaguraX
@humanpls There can't be a backend separately for a native app. It's just a front end wrapper no matter how you do it. It's up to you to make it feel native (for example, with fitting animations).
H
humanpls
@RaguraX Ye excuse me for the confusion, capacitor should do the trick
R
RaguraX
@humanpls Good luck!
L
luc122c
Good afternoon all :)
H
humanpls
@RaguraX Quick look at the IOS side of things, it's jusyt easier to Xcode it anyway while at it for iOS
H
humanpls
Having my nuxt modules as injectables in a native app would have been cool
R
RaguraX
@humanpls They're open source, nothing stopping you from borrowing the relevant functionality from them directly.

S

I was meaning to ask you - whats your prefered data loading pattern etc in nuxt? I've always just used api routes heavily since they are pretty well typed

Hello, glad to be here learning from the GOAT π
L
luc122c
@danielroe what plugin/extension re-ordered your Nuxt config there?
L
luc122c
Just noticed you're using Zen. How are you finding it?
L
luc122c
Oh, looks very different
R
RaguraX
@seanatcal If you're writing a larger application, I would suggest a combination of API routes on the server and generic functions for CRUD in the frontend. Use your own fetch wrapper (either with or without useAsyncData) and use the generic functions wherever possible. It will be easy to hook into requests if you need to manipulate headers, add logging, error handling, ...
L
luc122c
Nice!
C
cuebizzle
you have to reach around the cat? pause
L
lukasborawski
Hi D! Any plans to check this one: https://github.com/nuxt/nuxt/issues/31631 I'm getting the same issue for all of my module dependencies.
L
lukasborawski
Vite?
L
luc122c
Obviously I have no idea what's going on but the weird behaviour feels like some sort of race condition
M
matej_cerny
@luc122c you can you reproduce it every time you start your project? If so, you can start stripping down the project (like split it in half, see if it still shows the error, ...)
L
luc122c
@matej_cerny Sorry, was talking about the code on screen not the github issue
M
matej_cerny
oh my bad, I thought you were @lukasborawski :D
M
matej_cerny
wrong tag :D
R
RaguraX
@matej_cerny That's such a fun process isn't it? :D But it's still only a fraction of time compared to what maintainers would need to do without a reproduction. So listen to what @matej_cerny says and just do it :)
L
luc122c
@matej_cerny no worries :)
R
RaguraX
Sometimes I wonder if bug fixing like this, on a project like this, would make for a great AI benchmark. I doubt any existing ones could solve it without direction.
L
luc122c
@danielroe could you freeze the object once it's been applied or would that mess things up later?
